Double Tree by Hilton Hotel & Suites - Victoria, BC

This posting is part of the Victoria weekend getaway posting. If you want to find out more about  my itinerary please read part 1 and part 2 of my Victoria weekend getaway postings.

We picked this hotel because of its location in downtown Victoria. Since we were not going to bring our car I figured the hotel should be easy to reach by transit. Location wise this hotel couldn't be better. It was pretty much 2 blocks away from water front. Just behind the historic Fairmont Empress Hotel. Just off Douglas St one of the main road in Downtown Victoria making this hotel very easily reached by bus.

When we checked in it was 5 pm so the lobby was quiet. We were the only guests then. Check in was a breeze. We got our key cards and cookies and off we went. Our room was on second floor with a balcony facing the next door car rental lot. I didn't think that there were too many bars around but we could hear loud talking from the road at night. So if you are a light sleeper asked for a higher floor when you checked in.

Our room had everything we needed and more. A big bed with 4 pillows ! Big screen TV, microwave, Keurig coffee machine and even cookies complimentary of front desk. Bathroom had a shower with all the necessities of shower gel, shampoo etc.

We didn't bring a car but there was valet service by the hotel. They do charge parking about $30 plus tax if I remember it correctly.

Will definitely recommend this hotel.
