The Fish Store - Victoria, BC

Victoria's Fisherman's Wharf is not as big as San Francisco but I think it's charming and unique in it's own way. One side of it has some floating colorful boat homes and the other side some restaurants. The Fish Store is one of those restaurants.

When we went there it was between lunch and dinner time. But my tummy always has room for food when we're travelling. Especially fresh seafood. Being a harbor city we were sure that Victoria would be a perfect place to enjoy seafood and we were right. We ordered their 3 way salmon chowder and a halibut taco.

The taco was made to order and it came piping hot. The halibut was decent size perfectly seared then served on shredded cabbage and topped off with cilantro and tartar sauce. The fish tasted fresh and went well with everything else. The only problem was one taco wasn't enough. We each had a bite and it's gone.

The salmon chowder was very rich. It's made of salmon fillet, candied salmon and topped off with generous amount of smoked salmon. Very tasty.

Make sure to stop by if you're in the area. The website said the address below, though it's probably closer to Fisherman's Wharf Park.
