Pick Thai - Kelowna, BC

This restaurant is situated in the Downtown are of Kelowna a bit further away from the Marina. When we got there it was closed because of its schedule close on Tuesdays. So the following day we decided to pay them a visit during lunch time.

We called in our order of kao soy (yellow curry noodle soup) and beef stew noodle soup. We were trying to order pork ball noodle soup but was told they don't have that. Maybe it was just for that day. Because obviously it's on their online menu. But whatever, we placed our order and was told it would take fifteen minutes.

We were there on time to pick up our order. There was one table occupied at the time. I walked in and paid for our order and out in like minutes. Easy peasy. The restaurant had a feel of fast food joint even though they have quite a varieties of items on their menu. The decor was simple.

Now, let's talk about the food. The yellow curry noodle soup was a bit dry. I think they couldn't fit more broth in the small take out container. The topping was quite generous amount of chicken breast meat, bean sprout and julienned cucumber. The flavor was not bad if only there was more broth then it could have been better.

The beef stew noodle soup had a bit resemblance with Vietnamese pho noodle soup. Must be from the type of rice noodle and also the beef based. This order somehow got more broth than the curry noodle. For that I'm giving an extra star. The broth was nice and matched well with the rest of the beef topping, lettuce and bean sprout. A bit on the sweeter side.

All in all it was a decent lunch.
