We have been to this restaurant with a couple of friends. And we also have been to the location on Cambie called Corner 23. Their specialty dish is pork hock. And theirs is very good. Haven't found any that good yet.
The pork hock dish 萬巒豬腳 comes in 2 sizes - small and large. Just the two of us so we got the small one. For the second dish we decided our choice went to order an eggplant dish with pork intestine 魚香茄子肥腸煲.
We called in our orders ahead and was told it would take twenty minutes. When we got there it's all ready to go. Within minutes we were home to enjoy the hot dish.
The pork hock was already cut up in bite size with a small container of garlicky sauce. Hubby added some hot sauce for his pork hock sauce and he enjoyed it better. The eggplant dish was fragrant and flavorful. The eggplant absorbed all the flavor and the sauce. So tasty. The intestine was fried ahead before the stir fry so it was so fragrant. Even hubby actually enjoyed it as well though he isn't much of an offal person. Though he didn't eat that much because he couldn't get over the thought of intestine. 😉
If you like to try something new, definitely try the eggplant with intestine.
