By the time we reached Cha Am was the long holiday weekend. Hotels room were filling up fast. We needed to make decision on where to stay if we want to get decent price. In the end we settled down with Long Beach Cha Am. It's an older hotel. We tried to piece together on where we actually stayed last time we were in Cha Am. In the end we were pretty sure that we actually stayed at the same Long Beach Cha Am hotel 20 years ago !
The hotel rooms looked updated and upkept pretty well. Our room was spacious with a huge king size bed. It has a rolling door to a balcony and view to the swimming pool. Except maybe the bathroom seemed a bit outdated.
Bathroom was spacious though a bit dark with a half wet standing shower separated by a shower curtain. There's a small area for sitting down for elderly. I noticed another hotel having that feature as well. I think it's pretty useful and safer for elderly hotel patrons.
The patio was spacious with a set of chairs and table. But we didn't really have a chance to use it. Beside there was another set of table and chairs inside for us to do our work on.
This was the only hotel where we received complimentary breakfast. And we sure enjoyed that breakfast. The selection was not bad. There were different pastries along with bread and toast with butter and jam. There were two different types of rice porridge. Rice with a few selection of dishes like chicken and fish. The egg station offered sunny side up eggs and custom ordered omelette. Different types of cut up fruits and cereal with milk were also available.
The location of the hotel was also amazing. Walking distance to the beach and plenty of 7Eleven close by. My only complaint was lack of power outlets. There was only one in the bedroom. The only other one we found was in the bathroom.
