When we first visited this Tops Supermarket we noticed there was a tiny "food court" there. I actually noticed a similar one at our local Tops Supermarket in Chiang Rai but we never get to try it. One evening as we were contemplating dinner, we decided to give this one a try. Especially because it was a rainy day. So we didn't feel like walking too far.
As this food court is part of Tops Supermarket, there were cooked food for sale around as well. We picked up a pack of barbecue pork before heading to the seating area. After checking out the menu, we decided on stir fry rice noodle with gravy and stir fry crispy chili pork. Btw, the menu was pretty extensive so it could be quite intimidating if you have never ordered any Thai dish before. But don't worry there were also some western food like steak, fries and mashed potatoes. And apparently they served breakfast too. Simple one like toast and eggs.
While waiting for our orders to be prepared we could watch the chef in action behind the glass divider. A lot of the ingredients were already portioned. He took all the necessary ingredients for our orders and heated them up (if necessary) before plating it. So for the fried noodle, the noodle was already pre-cooked. He then made the gravy for the noodle. On the other hand, the stir fry crispy chili pork would be served with rice. The pork was already cooked, but he fried it again to make it crispy before throwing in the rest of the ingredients to get the flavor mixed.
All in all the food was fine. The flavor was good. We would go back if we live close by. If it's busy then it could take longer for your orders to be prepared since it seemed like he was only alone there with no help.
