Food Market @ Market Village Mall - Hua Hin, Thailand

In the beginning we thought of this place as far away from our Visa Hotel. But then after walking there once, we decided it's not too bad. Especially helped by the cost of food there as well. We found that the price of our meals there was actually slightly cheaper than the food court at Central in Chiang Rai. The only sacrifice we need to do is walk there under the hot sun.

The varieties of food there was pretty good. Thai food from noodle soup, chicken rice, some seafood to Western food like kebab, burger, pastries. The following were the ones we have tried.

Pork bone soup

Fried rice with shrimp paste

Khao soi (northern style curry noodle)

Biryani rice with fried chicken
Noodle soup with chicken thigh and chicken blood

Chinese beef noodle soup

Beef steak with chili dipping sauce

Chicken kebab

What we liked the most of all those were khao soi (northern style curry noodle). The curry was rich and flavorful. The pork bone soup was also very good. Spicy and had a hint of herb. If you can handle spicy food, you could ask for more spicy. The man preparing the soup showed me a green chili. I shook my head and laughed.

The fried rice with shrimp paste was good though not much protein in it. The beef steak was also good though of course not very tender. If you don't have high requirement for tender beef, then this would be fine. Good source of protein and good value at THB 120 (USD 3.26).
