This food centre or also known as food court is conveniently located about a block from Ipoh Parade Mall and a stone throw from Ipoh city center. When we stayed at Octagon we visited this food court twice and still haven't had a chance to enjoy all the stalls there.
What we liked the most from this food centre were the rice roll. That's what we tried the first time we stumbled upon this place. But then we went back for the rice roll and discovered a bakery that offers plenty of goodies like sio bao (烧包), curry puff, egg tarts. I wanted to try everything but only so much room available. 😝
The rice roll from the stall at the corner ( I think next to the economy rice) was very close to the rice rolls we had in Vancouver, Canada. Thin, freshly made with the stuffing inside. Too bad the sauce used wasn't chili oil.
