Genting Chin Swee CavesTemple 清水岩庙 - Genting, Malaysia

Chin Swee caves temple is a Chinese temple in Genting Highlands. It's situated between Resort World and Genting Premium Outlet. The temple was built on a 28 acre plot donated by Genting Group founder, Lim Goh Tong. Here's a wiki entry on Chin Swee Caves Temple.

When we were there it seemed the best time to visit was in the morning since the sky was clearer. In the afternoon the fog tended to come in and visibility wasn't as good. In fact, when we were there the previous afternoon it was misty and drizzling. That's why we decided to skip the temple altogether and went straight down to Genting Premium Outlet.

One could catch a cable car from Genting Premium Outlet to Resort World with a free stop at the temple. This option is open both ways either from Resort World going down or Genting Premium Outlet going up. Alternatively, taxis or Grabs are also available to take you there. Do note that taxis and Grabs are not as easily available in Genting as other cities in Malaysia. Most Grabs we took  were from Kuala Lumpur who happened to send guests up to Genting.

It's best to allocate at least one hour here. It will provide enough time to take photos and explore all the exhibits. If you have energy you could climb up the pagoda as well. We didn't do that.

Chin Swee caves temple is an active temple so a lot of Buddhist devotees came to burn incense and pray. There was also a huge Buddha statue against the mountain at the back of the temple. Next to it was a path depicting "Journey to Enlightment" showing different punishment for different sins at different levels of hell.
