Pancar Garden - Bogor, Indonesia

We had our family gathering in the Sentul area. While searching for a place for lunch this restaurant was suggested. It's a short drive from our airbnb in Sentul City. The parking area is spacious though of course when we went there it's Friday so it may get more visitors on the weekend.

The restaurant is spacious with two floors. Ground floor for restaurant and second floor for cafe. When we were there, there was a function going on the second floor. The view from the second floor could be better on a clear day. While we were there, the view of Gunung Pancar was hazy.

The menu were all customized with rice so it became individual orders instead of family style where we would share dishes. I ordered ayam betutu (Balinese style chicken cooked in spices), hubby ordered nasi goreng. Other orders were barbecued gurame fish and rawon (beef stew served with salted fish and bean sprouts.

My ayam betutu tasted fine to me. Though my family think it wasn't authentic enough since the real ayam betutu should have some sauce ? 😉 Hubby's fried rice was just fine. He didn't think there was anything special. The barbecued gurame was generous though with a whole gurame fish.

The lunch there would be better without so much flies. They definitely had hygienic issue. And to make it worse there's no effort to bring us candles until we requested. I didn't see any UV lights which usually being used in restaurants to help kill flies. 😒
