Another month another Airbnb location. This time in the Suthep area of Chiang Mai. The building is called Chomdoi Condotel. In fact, once we moved there we realized there are plenty of apartments in that area for rent.
Our building alone has like fourteen floors with at least 30 units on each floor. From our observation most of those units are for rent. And we came across quite a few short term tenants as well. Visitors came and left with suitcases are common seen.
Our unit is on fifth floor facing the main road but is blocked by building in front. But we still got view of Doi Suthep. Luckily the building in front of our balcony is lower so it doesn't completely block our view.
As a studio, the lay out of the unit puts the bedroom at an advantage as it's next to the balcony. So our bedroom is the area with most natural lights. Unfortunately because of that, then the living room doesn't get as much light. And the kitchen is the darkest area as it doesn't get enough lighting. Fortunately it's next to the entrance so it's convenient to open the door when we're cooking. Also when opening the door allows better air circulation so cooking smell dissipates a lot faster.
All in all we like the location of this Airbnb as it's pretty close to Nimman and walking distance to Maya Mall. There's a Mini C close to the apartment and another Lotus Fresh pretty close as well. The road where Lotus is located has plenty of stalls that sell fresh produce, fruits and meat.
