On our second day at Next 1 Condo, we decided to check out Lotus Supermarket just across the street. Most Lotus or Big C Supermarket will have a food court. We could have lunch there and then do some grocery shopping for evening in case it rained.
It's rainy season in Chiang Mai and it would rain in the evening making it harder to go out. It's not harder just annoying as we needed to bring umbrella and also ponchos. 😅
The food court here is small compared to others we have been to. We found the typical dishes like chicken rice, noodle soup, stir fry noodle (rad na and pad thai). We also noticed a vendor selling pork liver salad. After a bit contemplating, we finally decided on chicken rice, rad na and pork liver salad for extra protein.
As usual, when I don't know what's the name of the dishes then I'd take a picture of the dishes and show it to the vendor and tell them how many I'd like to order. Easy, right ?
Later on I found out the name of that pork liver salad was ตับหวาน (pronounced as tub wan). Literally means sweet liver. It's boiled sliced pork liver with sweet, tangy spicy salad dressing. 😋
