Fong Sheng Hong Kong Bakmie - Jakarta Pluit, Indonesia
Accidentally found this place while passing through the area. It looked pretty new so I looked it up on Google maps to see what's offered. The photos and menu looked pretty good so I suggested to my family to give it a try.
I know this name from another location in PIK. Unfortunately we haven't had a chance to go to the PIK location. Also I didn't quite like the PIK location as it seems that parking could be a challenge.
We visited this place on a Saturday afternoon during lunch time. Surprisingly it wasn't super busy. There were a few tables occupied and parking was pretty easy. Most of the tables were meant for smaller group of two or four. So we needed three tables put together side by side.
From the big pictures on the wall I noticed items like steam mala wonton, kuah tahu pong and bakmi ayam jamur telur. So we ordered those three. The rest came later on as we went through the picture menu.
The bakmie stood out to me. I liked the chewiness of it. It came with different topping to satisfy everybody's taste buds. The shumai were just okay. The mala wonton was good but only had three pieces in one portion. We ended up ordering another portion. The kuah tahu pong was good. The tofu used was the tofu puff so it absorbs plenty of flavor.
Not exactly a dimsum place but more of a noodle place with extra side dishes. Price was reasonable as well.
