Brick House Dalat Hotel - Dalat, Vietnam
What I didn't know until we landed at Lien Khuong Airport Dalat was the distance to Dalat City Center from the airport was about 30 km (18.6 miles). By Grab was about 320k VND (USD 12.54). But by the time we went out to the pick up area, we were offered taxi for 250k VND (USD 9.80).
The ride to Dalat City Center was smooth. The road looked new with plenty of plants along the side of the road making it very pleasing to eyes. Some part of the road was hilly which I found it amusing since I haven't encountered too much of this hilly road in Asia.
Anyhow, I was glad when we reached the hotel and they allowed us to check in. It was hardly past 12 pm. So we appreciated the early check in.
Our room was on the third floor and that's the highest floor for guests room as the fourth floor was mainly dining area. The tiles in our room reminded me of the peranakan style tiles. Very pretty. The room itself was spacious and the big window that opens up made the room cool even at noon. There was also a fan on the ceiling. Can the combination effort of windows and ceiling fan replace air con ?
We received two bottles of water (standard) and there was minibar available with price list next to it. 😊 A friendly reminder that those were not free in case there's misunderstanding. The bathroom drawer was big enough to keep a hair dryer and other amenities like comb, tooth brushes, etc. A little while later we received a plate of cut up mango and passion fruit. Perfect as we were getting hungry.
I loved the view from our window to the rooftops of the houses below us. It feels like Santorini view. 😁
