晴天廚房 - Taipei, Taiwan

It was a rainy day when we were in the area. We were visiting Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall nearby when we found this eatery. Cold and wet, we wanted somewhere close by. Out of a few options available, we decided on this restaurant that was branded as "Japanese curry".

The place was smaller than we expected, so we walked passed it. Turned around and looked around for sign then we noticed this small door with a sign in Chinese. It's a cute place with three tables on the ground floor and space upstairs.

We were given menu but ordering was done by scanning the QR code. We ordered pork cutlet Japanese curry and beef shank curry. Each order comes with rice, soup and black tea.

While we wait for our orders, the hot soup and tea was served. It's such a nice warming feeling when we sipped our soup. 😊 We did have breakfast albeit not heavy carb. I guess the rain and colder weather made us hungry.

The Japanese curry was mild. The pork cutlet was just the right thickness and crispy on the outside. My beef shank was tender with the right chewiness left. It also had mushroom and cabbage in it. It was a fulfilling meal.

Total TWD 700 (USD 23.40 or CAD 32.33). Probably not cheap for Taiwanese standard but slightly cheaper compare to US or Canada.
