瞻赛·米萨格·大盘鸡·炒米粉(昆明总店)

I don't have English name for this restaurant. We happened to see it and stopped by because it's in the vicinity of our hotel, City Comfort Inn near Nanping Pedestrian Street. The location of this restaurant is on Shuncheng Road.

It's a halal Moslem restaurant offering noodle dishes, barbecue lamb skewers and other dishes. We were not very well versed with halal Moslem food actually. We have tried lamb skewers from a restaurant in Richmond Canada. But it wasn't very memorable. So walking in this restaurant I had no clue what to order. Luckily there picture menu on the wall. Hubby had his eyes on the stir fry noodle. So that's what we ordered along with a few lamb skewers.

The staff asked how spicy we wanted our noodle. We said medium. Later on we learned that even medium was very spicy for our taste buds. And we normally handle spiciness pretty well.

After paying, we took a seat and waited for our order. Then the staff brought our orders to the table. Later we noticed that other patrons actually picked up their own orders from a counter by the kitchen. Ah, the staff tending the place must have picked up the vibe that we were foreigners that didn't know how it works normally in the restaurant there. 😅

Anyhow the stir fry noodle turned out to be pretty saucy. The sauce smelled and tasted like the goat curry we had at an Indian restaurant. It was actually very tasty but it was too spicy for me. Luckily the lamb skewers were just tasty and not spicy.

Total bill for a plate of noodle and six lamb skewers was RMB 45 (USD 6.28). No tips.
