A Glimpse of Lijiang and Lijiang Old Town - China
Lijiang was the the third railway station that we visited on this trip to Yunnan province. The size was massive and designed to handle large amount of people disembarking.
Once we passed through the passport control we were out the building. We noticed the sign on the ground giving direction to whether travel bus, public bus or online car. Unfortunately that day the amount of passengers were massive. The cars coming in to pick up had to go through a small parking lot to pick up passengers. From there the cars had to go through another road out. Imagine hundreds of cars all leaving at the same time ? A mess ! 😓
The distance to our hotel was only about 10 km but I think the winding road or unfamiliar road made it feel way further. Luckily by the time we reached our hotel we were allowed to check in.
By the time we reached our room I realize that our room was the only one in the hotel with huge balcony. No wonder the receptionist reminded us that we should let them know if we wanted to extend as our room is highly sought for. I wasn't sure if I understood her completely.
The bathroom is open with no door. Inside the shower area and toilet area were separated. Each has a glass door. I think this hotel easily was the best hotel room on this Yunnan trip. Especially with an automatic curtain that opens and closes each time we put in our room card. 😍
