Lavande Hotel Kunming Railway Station -

We picked this hotel because of its proximity to the Kunming Station. I figured since we'll be coming on a train and staying overnight might as well just stay close to station. Save some expense to go to town. And also checking out new neighborhood.

This hotel is close and even within walking distance from the station. Unfortunately when we arrived there it was raining. Walking in rain with umbrella, suitcase and a slippery shoes were not good combination. Luckily we found the hotel using Baidu map. 😀

The check in process was fast and we even got an upgrade to a business room. Yay 😍 The receptionist asked for a good review. 😀 No problem.

We got lost on the wrong elevator. There were four elevators but only two actually could be used for our hotel. The other two were reserved for a bigger hotel. Later on we found out there were at least four hotels sharing our building. Each of the hotels set up their reception on the ground floor. It's interesting and also confusing at the same time. Also because of that, the elevators we used also shared by delivery person, etc.

Our room was huge with a set of couch, working desk, a huge TV and a comfy bed. It's by far the biggest room we had on this Yunnan trip. It has huge glass windows showing view of Kunming as far as we could see. But of course our room was not very high so we could not see far far away but this room definitely had better view than our previous hotel in town.

Our room also came with breakfast. The breakfast buffet had a lot of varieties as well. From pastries, noodle soup, fruits to some steam buns.
