Ichiban Ramen @ KLIA - Malaysia
Flying to Jakarta always brings some sort of excitement and anxiety at the same time. In fact I think these days flying just brought out anxiety in me as well. 😅 The night before usually would be marked by tossing and turning. Early flight would make it worse.
This time our flight was actually at 10. We booked our Grab the night before just in case we could not get a car in the morning. Our Grab car actually arrived earlier than the time agreed upon. 😝
We got to KLIA just before 8 am but then we found out that our flight was delayed by 1 hour ! The airport was busy already but not as busy as the time we flew during Hari Raya. That was pure chaotic !
I managed to get our boarding passes and baggage tags in no time. We dropped of our suitcases and ready to get breakfast or brunch. Places we had our eyes on were busy so after wondering around for some time we settled with Ichiban Ramen. We remembered that spot was another business prior to Ichiban Ramen. Turn over is pretty fast and perhaps good. Uncle Roger's shop Fuiyoh is there now as well giving people chance to try the famous fried rice before leaving the country. 😉
We selected red spicy Ichiban Ramen and Rich Ichiban Ramen along with a portion of chicken gyoza. Both ramen was pretty good especially the rich version. The red spicy was not too shabby though perhaps we would have enjoyed the thinner noodle. The chicken gyoza though was a disappointment as they didn't looked appetizing.
Total bill MYR 51.80 (USD 12.30) which was not bad at all considering what we could actually get for that price at San Francisco International Airport. Probably just a cold sandwich.
