Pasar Eatai - Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

I searched around for other Lanzhou beef lamian in Petaling Jaya area. And I found this Pasar Eatai located at Bandar Utama. It looked quite convincing so we went to check it out.

When we finally found the restaurant, I was puzzled because it looked like a hotpot place. Not only that, it was empty and it supposed to be All You Can Eat too. A staff was trying to get us to go in to try. I asked her whether they have other non hotpot on their menu. She then told us they do but it's next door. I was like huh ? Then we walked over and on the other side of the wall is another establishment under the same name but different set up.

After we checked their menu and indeed they do have Lanzhou beef lamian we then walked in and got seated. We ordered a bowl of signature beef noodle, boiled beef dumpling and two skewers of bbq lamb on red willow stick. They actually have two types of bbq lamb, one on metal skewers and the other on red willow sticks. Other than price difference which I think was due to their sizes. But the rest looked very similar.

The restaurant was quite big with elaborate decor on its ceiling. Maybe it's an ethnic Xinjiang decor ? They also have some plush camels for sale. Very cute.

Not long we received our orders. The noodle was pretty good though I think I prefer a more chewy texture type of noodle. But the broth was pretty close. The skewers were flavorful and the lamb was tender. The dumplings were juicy.

The service was attentive and the food we ordered were all pretty good. Total bill came to RM 58 (USD 13.79).
