Tanyu Grilled Fish PIK

On our recent visit to PIK Central Market we noticed a restaurant just opened at the West Lobby (?) of Central Market PIK. The patrons in that restaurant all had a hot grill in front of them. It looked like nothing I have ever seen. Based on that we decided to give it a try.

The signature dishes of this restaurant just as the name says are grilled fishes. Based on the recommendation from our server we chose the green pepper grilled fish with sichuan pepper. That one was marked with 2 chili sign so I assumed was pretty spicy. We looked at the non spicy options for grilled fish and there were soy sauce and garlic flavor. We picked garlic but was told that it's not available. 😏

So we settled with the soy sauce flavor and moved on to order the bull frog. Then I ordered the cheese roll and the lamb skewers. Both were not available. It's a new restaurant, don't you need to stock up your dishes ? How do customers try your dish if they are not available ?

With a few items not available I was half disappointed. Especially the cheese roll. Then later on we tried the fish and honestly I don't see anything special with the fish. Neither flavor was special. The green pepper was slightly spicy but the saltiness stood out more. The soy sauce one was the same. For me both flavor of the fish was over seasoned. Later on when more broth was added, it was actually better.

The bull frog dish was a scam ! For over 200k, I was expecting to get a decent taste of the frog. But seriously I think there was only one frog in it. And you know frog doesn't actually have too many pieces that could be enjoyed. Most were bones. The whole dish was more lotus roots, sliced potatoes and cauliflower.
