Southern Airlines Pearl - Guangzhou, China

We chose this hotel as part of transit accommodation provided by China Southern Airlines. I found out from YouTube where some people shared their experience getting free transit accommodation when taking China Southern Airlines. I decided to search their website for any information. I found a link "Transit Accommodation". After completing information requested then we received an email notifying us on how to claim the hotel room. We did not get a free room perhaps because our transit time was less than 24 hour ? But we received discounted price anyway.

When we reached Guangzhou airport we went to look for the customer service counter which was located at arrival hall of domestic terminal. I was worry that we may have to take bus to a different terminal since we arrived in international terminal. But no worry, just a bit walking brought us to the domestic terminal.

We were checked in by the attendant at the counter and led to a waiting area with other passengers. After a short while a staff announced that we should follow him. My understanding based on what I learnt from the YouTube video was we would be taken by bus to the hotel. It turned out to be true and we shared a small bus with about 8 other passengers.

The room assigned to us was on the second floor. Our room was clean and quite spacious. The bathroom has a standing shower. Next to the hotel was a McDonald and a convenience store. We found a Lanzhou lamian shop just across the road from the lobby. Yummy noodle with lamb skewers and juicy beef dumplings.

The breakfast the following morning was not bad. It's proper breakfast with quite a variety of food. From stir fry noodle with dishes to boiled items like sweet potatoes and corn. Bread and a few different types of fruit were also available. For drinks we could choose tea, milk, soymilk, coffee and corn juice.

I like this type of breakfast. A bit heavy on carb but usually one could find protein in stir fry dishes or hard boiled eggs.
