Nippon Ramen - Hong Kong Airport
It was a relief to land in Hongkong. At least the longest portion of our flight was behind us. I actually ran into my friend's sister, a flight attendant with Cathay Pacific. I happened to hear her name being announced when we boarded in Vancouver. But I didn't want to approach her on board so when we were disembarking, I approached one of the flight attendant to inquire about her. We waited a bit for her to be ready and I went to say hi to her. She was surprised. We both never met each other before ! 😂
Needless to say, when I sent my friend a photo of me and her sister, she was surprised as well. She told me I should have approached her sister onboard. Yeah, maybe I should have then I could get some leftover dessert from business class. 😁
Put that aside, we got our breakfast before we landed. But for some reason including the fact that the airline meals are getting smaller, we were not full. Or maybe we just craved some real hot food. Unfortunately the airport was pretty quiet as it was only 5:30.
We walked to our gate and along the way searching for some potential breakfast spot. In the end we though a ramen place deserved a try. It finally opened at 7 and we placed order for two bowls of ramen. Each was a combo with drinks so we got two bowls with two drinks.
We ordered one spicy ramen with cold honey green tea and a tonkatsu chasu ramen with hot tea. The ramen were alright. Definitely not the worst but the noodle texture were not chewy enough. The broth was pretty light.
Total spent HKD 185 (USD 23.60).
