Aroy'a Thai Dining - Jakarta, Indonesia
Recently we had a chance to come here for lunch. It's a big group of people so we had opportunities to try a few things.
It was a Saturday afternoon and surprisingly the restaurant was not busy at all. We had reservation for 12 and there were only two tables occupied. The inside dining area was actually pretty cold. There was also like an outside the main dining area which was not as cold but it didn't look very comfortable. And then there was outside dining area which I think was too warm.
Their menu book looked pretty impressive. Lots of yummy dishes photos. Plenty of dishes that sound very authentic like salt baked fish and pad kra pao. I read a few reviews mentioned Crying Tiger Beef so we made sure to order that. We also had tom yum, Three Flavored Fried Fish, Sweet Lemongrass Fried Fish and hoy tod (oyster omelette).
While we sat there waiting for our food, we laughed at the music that was playing in the background. It's some country music !
Anyhow, the food was okay. Nothing too amazing that made us wanted to go back for more. I guess partially we chose non spicy food. But even the tom yum was not spicy at all. Neither was the mango salad.
